Connect OneKey with Pocket#
This guide serves as a step-by-step instruction for setting up your OneKey wallet with Pocket as part of a single order. This way, the Ethereum you purchase is paid directly to your own wallet.
Important:#
- OneKey is not directly listed as its own wallet option in Pocket.
- Therefore, you select `Other` in Pocket and then confirm your Ethereum address via signature in OneKey.
- Keep your OneKey device ready during setup so you can confirm the address and signature on the device.
- This guide describes the single order process.
Prerequisites#
In this guide, we assume that the following conditions are already met:
- The OneKey App is set up and your Ethereum account is visible.
- Your OneKey device is connected and unlocked.
- You want to receive Ethereum to your OneKey Ethereum account.
- You have a bank account available for the transfer to Pocket later.
1. Start synchronization with Pocket#
Start the purchase process at Pocket and select that you already have a wallet.
Next, select the currency you want to pay with.
Now decide whether you want to purchase once or recurring. Since this guide describes the single order, select `Single` and enter the desired amount.
In the next step, enter the IBAN from which you will send the payment to Pocket.
2. Select wallet type#
Pocket now asks where you want to receive your Ethereum. Since OneKey is not directly listed here, you select `Other`.
3. Retrieve Ethereum address from OneKey#
Now open your Ethereum account in the OneKey App and go to `Receive`. Select `Receive from another wallet`.
On the next screen, select `ETH`.
OneKey now asks you to verify the receiving address on the device. This ensures that the address really belongs to your wallet.
If the device asks afterwards, open the OneKey App and enter the code shown on OneKey.
Confirm the address on the device and also confirm the derivation path. You can then copy the displayed Ethereum address.
4. Confirm Ethereum address in Pocket#
Return to Pocket, paste the copied Ethereum address and click `Next`.
5. Sign Ethereum address in OneKey#
Pocket now wants to confirm that the specified Ethereum address really belongs to your wallet. To do this, you sign a message in OneKey.
Open the menu in the OneKey App via the three dots and select `Sign & verify message`.
Select the same Ethereum address that you previously entered in Pocket. Make sure to use exactly the same address.
Pocket now shows you the confirmation page. First copy the Ethereum address, then copy the displayed message.
Paste the message in OneKey. Confirm the address on the device first, then the message. Finally sign with the checkmark. Use the signature format suggested by OneKey.
After successful signature, copy the generated signature from OneKey.
Paste the copied signature in Pocket in the `Signature` field and click `Next`.
6. Review order and buy Ethereum#
If the signature was accepted, Pocket confirms the Ethereum address for payout.
On the next page, review your order once more. Carefully check the amount, IBAN and wallet address.
Finally, Pocket shows you the payment instructions for your transfer. Transfer the displayed amount exactly as specified and use the reference exactly as provided.
